DevelopmentThe department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2006with an intake of 60 students. The department has grown steadily and today it has 11 highly dedicated faculty, 255 students and 6 Assistants. The department organizes Guest Lectures, Seminars and various Training programs with the help of engineers and academicians of national and international repute to help students to keep abreast with the latest developments in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

Our endeavor has been to produce the best Mechanical Technocrats to serve the growing needs of the country in the field of Mechanical Engineering. We have Industrial Visits for the Students by which they can gain the knowledge about the industries in which they are going to bloom.
We believe that students need to enhance their technical skills, sharpen their innovation and passion for learning and therefore we encourage our students to involve in several Industry oriented projects. With a vision to produce professionals who drive the edge of the Mechanical, the department has excelled in a short period of time. Focusing on key aspects of technology, training the minds to think out of the box has all proven to be the success factor of the department.
The Placement record of the department is excelling and is towering every year. The department poses an excellent and progressive academic record. More of our students got placement in various reputed companies like CTS, K.H.Shoes Limited,Jain Cars (Chennai),and so on.
Every year the department organizes a national level technical symposium christened earlier as “Mechario” and now as “Mechario” which attracts participation from numerous colleges from different parts of the country. The department has been accredited by ISO.

The department has a dedicated fully air-conditioned CAD/CAM lab with 50 systems, all in a networked environment with un- interrupted power supply. These systems have the recent and most updated Softwares like Mechanical Inventor,Pro-Engineer,Ansys,Edge CAM, LAB View , Hydrosim and Pneumosim and they run various platforms such as Windows. The department offers free high-speed Internet facility. The Department Library serves as a gateway to promote R&D activities by providing the recent journals and Magazines. The department library provides useful resources to students with books , International Journals, National Journals, Lab Manuals, Question banks and Project Reports.
